Turning Rubbish Into Tiny Worlds
Miniatures, terrain and dioramas made from clay, cardboard and whatever else I can find lying around.
Daily Workshop updates
Follow along with my journey as I learn the old art of diorama building. From tiny details to complete scenes, I’ll be sharing what I’m making, what I’m learning, and everything I discover along the way, as I work towards becoming a professional diorama artist.
What I Do...
Welcome to Mini Boring Bits.
I’ve always loved working with clay, building miniature worlds, and telling stories.
That’s why I created Mini Boring Bits, a place where imagination and creativity come together. Every project begins as a story, whether it’s a forgotten workshop, a cosy cottage, a mysterious alleyway, or a tiny object with a tale to tell.
Using clay, cardboard, paint, glue, and as many recycled materials as possible, I transform those stories into miniature scenes and dioramas that bring them to life.
Here you’ll find short stories, behind-the-scenes builds, tutorials, and finished projects that show how simple materials can become detailed miniature worlds.
Whether you’re a fellow maker, a fan of storytelling, or simply curious about the creative process, I hope these miniature creations inspire you to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Got Rubbish? You've Got Terrain.
You don’t need expensive modelling tools or piles of specialist materials to build amazing miniature worlds.
I’ll show you how to turn old cardboard, bottle caps, toothpicks, packaging, clay scraps and all those weird bits you’ve been meaning to throw away into miniature terrain and tools.
